A-Level History

The Assessments and Qualifications Alliance's AS and A-level History qualifications have been designed to help students understand the significance of historical events, the role of individuals in history and the nature of change over time. AQA's qualifications will help them to gain a deeper understanding of the past through political, social, economic and cultural perspectives. Option 2M

These are all of Luca’s notes on each topic and lesson in Component 2's Wars and Welfare: Britain in Transition, 1906-1957. 

This option provides for the study of a transformative period of British history, during which democratically elected government faced a series of challenges, both internally and externally, and British society underwent a fundamental change. It develops concepts such as reform and retrenchment, patriotism and pacifism, social status and cultural values. It also encourages students to reflect on the process of economic and social change and the impact of that change on both governments and the people.
